PlasticBusters Pledge to reduce plastic pollution
At PlasticBusters we are concerned about the amount of litter and plastic pollution in our environment and strongly believe that the best way of tackling the problem is by proactively changing our behaviours and doing our best to eradicate it. And this effort must involve not only ourselves as individuals but also public and private enterprises.
For this reason, we would like to invite everyone to take the pledge to support the reduction of plastic pollution by doing your best to:
Eliminate single-use plastics, and
Practice the 10 R’s of Sustainability (REfuse, REduce, REuse, REpair, REfurbish, REmanufacture, REpurpose, REcycle, REcover, and RE-mine).
Since the initiative was launched in November 2020, over 100 entities and 350 individuals have taken the pledge. We are incredibly thankful to them for their support and for their courage to take the pledge. The more we are the greater impact we can make!
All participants receive a personalised certificate, and for every business taking the pledge, PlasticBusters will be planting a tree in collaboration with Forest Wide Limited!.
If you would like more information about how both households and organisations can make a difference, please visit our Resources section where we have published different articles on the topic, such as Circular Economy 3.0 and Ways to reduce plastic waste in the office.
We will be running a series of interviews and media posts to showcase how those that have taken the pledge are making a difference, and that could serve as a great example for others to follow.
