At PlasticBusters we are extremely concerned about the amount of plastic pollution in our environment and strongly believe that the only way of tackling the problem is by proactively changing our behaviours and doing our best to eradicate it. And this effort must involve not only ourselves as individuals but also public and private enterprises.
For this reason, we would like to invite everyone to take the pledge to support the reduction of plastic pollution by doing, personally and/or as an organisation their very best to REfuse, REduce, REuse, REpair, REfurbish, REmanufacture, REpurpose, REcycle, REcover, and/or RE-mine —what is now being referred to as the 10Rs.
If you would like more information about these actions and what both households and organisations can do, please visit our Resources section where we have published a few articles on the topic, such as Circular Economy 3.0 and Ways to reduce plastic waste in the office.
Since we announced the pledge at the beginning of November (data updated as of 14 May), over 80 entities -see list below- and 250 people have taken the pledge. We are incredibly thankful to them for their support and for their courage to take the pledge. The more we are the greater impact we can make!
And for every business taking the pledge, PlasticBusters will be planting a tree in collaboration with Forest Wide Limited!
We intend to run a series of interviews and media posts to showcase how those that have taken the pledge are making a difference, and that could serve as a great example for others to follow.
Those taking the pledge will receive a personalised certificate.
